Book Believers Book Discussion Group

Last month we began a new sharing group we are calling Book Believers. It is made up of adults who work with young people and literature. This group is open to anyone who would like to share in the excitement of children's literature. That can be pre-school teachers, elementary/middle school teachers, Day Care providers, homeschool parents, etc. We are keeping the group informal and flexible, knowing that busy schedules mean that it is impossible to make it to every meeting, so each meeting will be a self-contained experience. We will discuss books that are new to the market and our library as well as books the participants have found and are excited about using. Craft ideas, extension activities, and trends may also become a part of what we do. And of course, our staff at the Library is here to assist anyone in finding materials or providing resources that are useful tools for adults working with young people.

Sound interesting? It is! Those who have already attended can't wait to come to another session! After all, there is no long term committment or prep, but the benifit of sharing with others is priceless! Want to know how you can be involved? Call the Youth Services Department and get on our mailing or email list today.

Our next sharing visit will be Friday, April 9 at 1:00 PM. Please call 732-5732 to register.
